Show and tell

Vic quilters show is over …. some lovely ideas, a lot of temptations and I loved the tea cosies, nearly started one ! It will have to wait.

And I found some of the fabrics for the next big quilt. My fingers are itching to start but first things first I will finish my oriental quilt. I will keep you posted on that, it will give me an incentive.

Cheers

New project

The centre is done, all the blocks around are not quite finished but it is looking good. Even my 11yr old son has told me he likes it. And I think I will call it Louis ….

In the meantime I am about to finish quilting my queen size disappearing 9 patch, and then I can tackle the next one from the pile !

The quilt show at Jeff’s Shed is on this week , I am looking forward to be inspired …..

going crazy

Something I wanted to share with you all, I have been doing crazy patch for few years now and I decided to tackle the beautiful quilt from Piecemakers “His majesty the tree”. So far I have finished 3 blocks ( probably will add some more down the track) and I am currently working on the centre piece and mine is a gum tree. It is a long process but bits by bits….IMG_1514 IMG_1517IMG_1516IMG_1515

winter

Here in the Yarra Valley we are having such a beautiful winter season. A bit of sun, even some mild days , and every now and then some rain. My chooks are getting fluffier (is it a word ?) and the vegie patch is looking bare and resting.

I stay in the sewing room and at the moment I am quilting something that I did last year, never too late. I need to finish some projects , and this border is part of one quilt that I have to finish.
