A month already / un mois déjà

It has been a month already since I came back from Nantes and the Quiltmania expo with my head full of new ideas. The fingers can hardly keep up. I am about to finish a project, have started a couple of new ones ( as you do) and enrol for Spanish classes. I should be able to make myself understood by next year. It is wonderful to go back to studies especially for fun!

We have put the bees in their winter spot, hive in the sun and one less box to keep warm. They are still harvesting but like us at a slower pace.

I will be at the Victorian Quilter showcase, working behind the counter of Sewn and Quilted and this year I shall be going to the Brisbane’s show in October, I am looking forward to new horizons.

I’ll look forward to meet some of you to either of the shows.

Keep warm and keep stitching

It has been a long time since the last news. But here it is, my latest pattern is on its way. The quilt is being quilted, I am writing the instructions and it will be released at the AQC Show in Melbourne on the 18th of April. I will be there too and hope to see some of you.

I will post a picture as soon as I have it back, but I can tell you now it was inspired by the King George coverlet , lots of circles, and a boutis from a wedding quilt of the same period. It is 2mt x 2mt ( I had to stop otherwise you would have a very large quilt), with a centre medallion and 24 circles. I am quite happy about it. I am looking forward to the comments.

Cheers
